The Global Lives of South Korean and Korean American College Students

In Summer 2005 with an international collaboration grant from The Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research, I will begin work with South Korean anthropologist CHO Han Haejoang and a team of U.S. and South Korean based graduate student anthropologists.

Desperately Global

I hope to cull a number of smaller research projects in a book to explore the enormous cosmopolitan desires of South Koreans today and in recent history. For this work I will examine the escalating early study abroad (choki yuhak) of South Korean pre-college youth.
